Dr. Hannah Mohun specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, teens, and young adults. She provides psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments for individuals presenting with learning, attentional, and/or social and emotional challenges. Dr. Mohun helps youth and families better understand their strengths and areas of growth, and provides specific recommendations to best support clients moving forward.

Dr. Mohun provides treatment for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, behavioural challenges, low mood, coping with medical illnesses, and adjustment to life stressors. She takes a client-centered approach to treatment, valuing each client’s perspectives, goals, and unique experiences. Her therapeutic style is empathetic, non-judgmental, and warm (with a touch of humour at times). She integrates approaches from cognitive-behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, emotion-focused family therapy, and play therapy for younger children.

Dr. Mohun received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Victoria. She completed her pre-doctoral residency with the Saskatchewan Health Authority where she received specialized training in pediatric health psychology and developmental assessments. Her training also included placements at pediatric hospitals, a community mental health clinic, an adolescent psychiatric centre, and a university clinic.

In addition to her private practice at the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic, Dr. Mohun works in the Oncology/Hematology/BMT department at BC Children’s Hospital where she provides consultation and therapy to children, teens and their families. When not working, she enjoys cooking, exploring BC’s beautiful islands, and cuddling with her two cats.
